This is the second time I have visited Melilla. Before that I didn't have the opportunity to stay at the Parador De Melilla, I stayed at another hotel. But I kept walking and walking up the hill and into the grounds of the Parador De Melilla to see the magnificent view of the city itself, the port and the sea. A few years later, I decided to visit Melilla again. This time I stayed at the Parador De Melilla hotel. When I made my booking, I asked to be accommodated on the top floor. Unfortunately, I was accommodated on the 3rd floor out of 6. The view from the window and the balcony was stunning. The panoramic view of the city and the nearby park was excellent. Partial view of the port and the sea. The room is spacious. The bathroom is large. There is a small fridge. One slight drawback might be that the staff don't speak English at all or only partially, so for non-Spanish speakers this could be a personal disaster. The restaurant has an „A LA CARTE“ catering system and the menu is only in Spanish, so it was a bit of a vacuum from the start, as I didn't even know how to ask for food or get a cup of tea at breakfast. The same situation with not knowing the language happened during dinner. All sorts of translation apps on my phone came to the rescue. So the very next day I went to breakfast with a small baggage of Spanish words: omelette – „TORTILLA“, water – „AGUA“, and at dinner I asked for fish – „PESCADO“, vanilla ice-cream – „HELADO DE VAINILLA“, orange juice – „ZUMO DE NARANJA“, and what is most important, I was served everything and it was all delicious. Thank you to the wonderful hotel staff.

We had a room on the 4th floor with lovely views across the city .The air conditioning was perfect as the room could get very warm as the sun shone onto it nearly all day. It was great to have a a bath in the bathroom for a change as apposed to just a shower .The beds were made every day and towels changed if we left them in the bath .Breakfast had everything you could need to start off the day .The scrambled egg was cooked when ordered as was the bacon and fried eggs..My husband made use of the swimming pool a couple of times and it was spotlessly clean and not too cold! The walk up to the hotel from the city was not as taxing as we thought it might be after reading other peoples reviews. It’s well worth it for the hotels views of the city !

Excellent hotel on a hill over Melilla with marvellous views, only a few minutes walk from city center and harbour area. Nice room with super comfortable big bed. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Good WiFi. By the way: Melilla with its beautiful Liberty Style buildings is a hidden gem and merits much more visitors.

Loved our four night stay. We had a top (5th) floor room and the balcony views were stupendous, the full sweep of the old, walled town, the new town, bay and beaches and Morocco beyond. Very comfortable room, great staff and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended

In general, the place is great. The room is large, the conditioner works fine, and the view is magnificent. The staff was also friendly, and even though not all of them were English-speaking, they always tried to help.
